Countless steps lead to correct delivery
A jacket comes packaged on pallets, and is unloaded from the truck onto warehouse shelving or straight to the recording desk. There, it is labeled, repackaged and temporarily warehoused, until the order comes to deliver it to a specific shop. All of that is not quite as simple as it might sound. Because on the way to the shop, many hands and brains are required to ensure the right products, in the right quantity are delivered to the right location. This demands a wide range of activities, including:
- Goods receiving
- Monitoring of outgoing goods
- Labeling and securing
- Transportation
- Order picking
- Inventory control
- Quality assurance
- Optimizing goods flow
- and much more…
