Various cable cars on Zell am See's local mountain - Schmittenhöhe - operate in summer. The Schmittenhöhebahn, Sonnalmbahn and Areitbahn Section 1 will carry you to the top of the mountain or most of the way there. Awaiting you at the respective top station are the most beautiful hiking routes - and comfortable alpine huts entice you to linger and relax.
For the descent, you can make use of the cable cars once again or venture down on foot to the valley below.
