HEAD JOY: Elevating Women's Skiing to New Heights
For over a decade, the Joy Series has been a top-seller in HEAD's ski collection. The 2023/2024 season sees HEAD unveiling a slew of innovative upgrades. Designed with a "female-first performance" ethos, the all-new Joy skis are biomechanically tailored in every detail to meet the specific needs of women skiers. From tip to tail, these skis offer a highly optimized, reliable, and confident ride.
Co-Designed by Ski Legend Anna Veith
The meticulous redesign and development are informed by a comprehensive, updated construction catering to women's biomechanical needs. Influential in this revamp is Anna Veith, a former HEAD World Cup Rebels athlete and Austrian ski legend. Her insights and experience have been invaluable in elevating the Joy Series to an unparalleled level of performance.
Ingenious New Features
The coming season introduces reimagined designs for the Power, Super, Total, Absolut, Real, Pure, and Easy Joy models. Expect a narrower shovel design for smoother turn initiation and greater control. The softer, gender-specific flex at the ski's center promotes even pressure distribution. Further, new sidecuts and a longer radius add to the ski's stability during edge changes.
The skis feature a Superlite Carbon Sandwich Cap Construction with a Karuba Beech wood core. This harmonizes perfectly with advanced tech features like EMC and Graphene, delivering a ski that feels effortlessly agile and responsive, yet stable and smooth in turns.
Optimized Balance
Under the headline "Better Balance," HEAD has integrated another feature with the JOY SLR Pro Base. This feature specifically focuses on the weight distribution unique to women, as well as maintaining a consistent forward position on the binding plate. This provides better balance for all boot sole lengths. "Better Balance" ensures an always-uniform tilt of 0.55 degrees, regardless of whether the shoe size is 35 or 42, for optimal ski control. This results in a secure riding experience and a flawless blend of easy turn initiation and stability at higher speeds. Ultimately, the new Protector Binding with Full Heel Release Technology adds another layer of safety. In short, the new JOY series by HEAD embodies the joy of perfection and is, therefore, "The Women's Ski."
RACE PERFORMANCE
RACE PERFORMANCE
The completely revamped Race Performance collection is chock-full of the most innovative geometries and technologies. Developed in collaboration with the HEAD Worldcup Rebels for the 23/24 season, the HEAD racing collection sports a fresh look in an exclusive "Speed Blue." The name indeed says it all when it comes to HEAD's Race Performance series.
The new Race Performance collection encapsulates everything HEAD brings to the snow in terms of innovative technology and racing experience. Those who want to turn the slopes into racetracks need look no further; there is no faster or more refined ski to be found.
Top Technology in Thrilling "Speed Blue"
The current collection introduces a new tip design—narrower ski tips with an integrated tip protector—for easier and less aggressive turn initiation. The sidecut designed for longer radii and unique HEAD technologies such as EMC for minimizing negative vibrations, Graphene, and Titanal® are all relied upon by HEAD's top athletes. Last but not least, the "Speed Blue" of the 23/24 collection adds visual speed to the slopes.
Chasing better
HEAD is committed to continually developing new concepts and ideas, never resting on its laurels. Their mission is to provide the best products and optimal performance to all winter sports enthusiasts—from amateurs to professionals. This dedication permeates every aspect of the HEAD family—from research & development and production to design, marketing, and communication. “Chasing Better” is more than just a marketing slogan. They aim to improve everywhere and always.
Standing still means falling behind. The objective is always higher, better, and farther, and HEAD is indeed far from done. Whether you are learning your first turns or looking for steeper slopes and faster runs, you're always up for new challenges. It's this same conviction and passion that ultimately drives HEAD to success. They're tireless in questioning their methods and collectively looking for new ways to become better. They're not content with the status quo; the entire HEAD family continually discovers new ways to evolve their products.
