A crazy tinkerer by the name of Jim Jannard began to question the conventional boundaries set by industry. In 1975 and with just $300 in his pocket, Jim Jannard established the Oakley brand. His goal being to meet the need for innovative products. In his garage laboratory, he developed a new handlebar grip for motorbikes. Professional athletes discovered the new design and material, which even improved the rider’s grip when they were sweating.

All Oakley glasses – sunglasses, prescription glasses and goggles – are created in the USA by a team of designers, engineers, inventors and crazy tinkerers. From the first sketches to the prototypes, product development and tests, every step in this process from idea to consumer goes through the headquarters at Foothill Ranch.

Meets impact requirements based on ANSI Z87.1 and EN 166 standards

Flight Path

Developed in conjunction with reigning overall World Champion Aleksander Kilde of Norway, Flight Path L is Oakley’s premier snow goggle that holds up to the high demands of the world’s best athletes for use on any mountain.When used in racing disciplines, the semi-rim frame is designed to absorb and protect against the impacts of gate slap and provides a dampening effect when contacting the helmet. The semi-rim design is also streamlined for uninterrupted airflow and reduced drag. Ridgelock EV technology, a hybrid of lens lock and Ridgelock, in the rimless areas the frame grabs the ridge on the backside of the lens while in the full-rim areas the frame grabs the edge of the lens. Both areas are secured by keyway locks.
